Seriously though, do a search on 'reflashes'... word on the streets is the dealer can't find it. Most reflashes have switchable maps too which might make it harder.

I go with the assumption that any reflash will void the warranty because improperly tuned engine management can fry an engine in short order.

I agree with WW on paper, but there are certain ambiguous situations where having a reflash could impact a dealer's likelihood to perform warranty work that is perfectly justified.

It's nearly impossible for the dealer to find them, as has been discussed ad nauseum. If you're really worried, get Cobb's AccessPort and switch it back to stock when you take it in for service.

Yes, not easy to detect but even if a reflash is the only mod, it's usually pretty noticeable from the driver's seat, at least that's been my experience.


Proving the existence of the reflash is another story.
