rear windshield defroster

I had Vince at omega tint do my windows and he noticed that the previous owner may have tried to clean the windshield by scraping it with something that ended up scraping off some of the copper from the defroster system. So now i noticed that my rear defroster system doesn't work, I already checked the connections through out the system and the last conclusion comes to this.

so does anybody know where i can get my rear windshield defroster redone?

Does it the light turn on when you press the button on the console? Mine was doing that for a while and never worked. Finally found the fuse for it under the hood and saw it was blown.

speaking of which what do you guys recommend using to get rid of the glue goop from an old tinting job that wont mess with the copper for the defroster? I was thinking about using some gasoline but wanted to check around first if its safe.

for taking the glue stuff off after you take off your tint, Windex works wonders. Do not use windex on tint because yes the amonia will deteriorate the tint. As for cleaning tinted windows is just use a wet clean rag to wipe it down. I use the invisable glass stuff as it does not have amonia in it to clean my tint. I know the windex works good for taking off the glue stuff after the tint as I got a fixit ticket for my side windows and pealed the tint myself.
