Rear hatch help!
So get this, the freakin lift strut that holds up the rear hatch on my car just came super loose, so loose it had rounded out and dented the hole where it goes into the frame. So I go to tighten it and it just spins, I look closley at the hole and there is a bolt that WAS welded on the inside but now its broken , so now I have a hatch that wont stay up and no way to get to that bolt.Any idea how I can fix this? The only thing I can think of is to drill a slightly bigger hole just beneath the first hole and slide a new bolt up there.Ill put a pic up later so you can get a better idea of what happened.

It has nothing to do with the struts going bad. There is an open campaign for the exact problem you're having. PM your VIN and I'll see if you're in the range. If so, it's a warranty repair.
