Rear-ended: Need body shop recommendations in South Bay

Hey guys,

My Suby got rear-ended last night. Bumper, trunk, and exhaust are ****ed. Not sure to what extent the exhaust is messed up though.

Just looking for some recommendations on a good collision shop in the South Bay (Palo Alto/Mountain View/Sunnyvale preferred).

I'll of course be going through insurance, but I want to compare the approved shops for my insurance with the ones recommended on here.

Side note: Does anyone have any experience with insurances covering broken items in the car that are not part of the car? I had some photo equipment that got messed up.

You have my recommendation already and depends how expensive but yes insurance can reimburse stuff that was damaged. Always ask your agent because they should be able to make the person who hit you replace the value of what was damaged. It's usually listed as personal property damage.

I get all my body and paint work done at Yeaman auto body in Palo Alto. They do great work at a fair price. They did my trunk de-badge the whole left side of my car from when I bounced off a guard rail. My car is there right now getting some insurance work done from when dude ran into my PARKED car. The paint is matched perfectly and they blended all the way across the hood just to make sure. Talk to Jeff he will take care of you.

Thanks guys, I'm trying to stay north of or equal to Sunnyvale as I live on the north edge of it, and work in Mountain View.

Werd.

My thought was that it's worth at least going to WAB for a quote. I did.

My door got backed in to. I had them give me a quote and I said... it will be an insurance job... not my insurance.

So he rung up all OEM parts, car rental, etc. Quote was over $2800 to basically replace my door. I was out of work so I pocked the money to pay bills. Bought a door for $100.

Plus... there's a STI in the parking lot.
