hey everyone, thank you for all of the kind wishes. ive been home for about 10 minutes, and decided to check in on all of you.
230 this morning, i woke up with an extremely elevated heart rate and an inability to breathe well. after thinking it was a panic attack and using my usual calming techniques, i realized it was something worse. when the EMT's arrived, they discovered that although my blood pressure wasnt elevated, my heart rate was a not so steady 277 bpm. i was airlifted to Stanford Medicac Center ( COOL!! ) where they decided gthat to find out what rhythm my heart was beating at, they had to stop it.
so they gave me something called Atrophy, or something along those lines... five seconds in, five seconds out is what they told me. my heart would stop for five seconds, and then restart on its own. they also told me it would feel like i was slugged in the chest. i wasnt ready for that. i DEFINITELY wasnt ready for the car sized weight that was on my hest when my heart stopped. and let me tell you, being completely alert, awake, and coherent when it happens sucks! i couldnt feel my arms, legs, chest, or head, but i could still feel my heart fluttering... and to get an accurate EKG reading, they had to do it twice!! afterward, when they discovered that i ws having an atrial fibrulation ( where the top of your heart sends out multiple electrical pulses instead of one, nd the bottom part gets aggravated trying to keep up ) they gave me another medication to slow my heart rate, then Liquid Valium ( YAAYY!!! ) and pulled 8 vials of blood. i was on easy street after that.
8am i wake up in my own room, with a normal heart rhythm, and in very good condition. turns out that atrial fibrulation is very common with eople with high blood pressure ( me ), as well as smokers, excessive drinkers, heavy drug users ( and those in withdrawl ) and people who have heart disease in there bloodline ( again, me ). after two blood enzyme tests ( i passed with no heart damamge ) and an Echocardiogram ( think Ultrasound ) i was allowed to go home at 7 this evening.
again thank you for all the kind wishes, they mean a lot to me....
btw, there was two extrememly fine nurses in the LifeFlight, and i had an extremely hot AZN nurse with a Monroe piercing coming in my room touching me every five minutes..... trust me, im fine

glad to hear your doing better man. I watched my boss's heart stop and get restarted by his pacemaker once, but I cant imagine what it'd be like to have 5 seconds in/5 seconds outoh, and since you already got 3 fine nurses, no stripper nurse for you
