I bet no one caught my loopy run in the RX-7 again. *sigh*

That dang thing just likes to go around in circles.

I saw you go around in a half circle, then lots of dust covered you up. Amazing you came out of that almost pointing in the right direction. Also amazing you were able to figure out you were going the wrong way so quickly.

Heh. I could see *nothing*. It was as if someone painted the windshield brown. I just sorta timed the turn so I'd be approximately right (sort of like doing a turn on instruments in an airplane), and then straightened out. My next thought was, "OMG, where're the corner workers?" Then things cleared enough so that I was able to pick out the line of cones leading up to that hairpin and figured out where I was.

First time I've ever had anyone write "Bad ***!" on my time slip.

Both times I looped it, there was a brief moment of "should I try to save it or...nah!" and then my foot mashed the throttle. That car is SO much fun to drive. Unfortunately this means that my proposed co-driver for next year has refused to go along if I get a RWD car, which partially explains why I'm building a Golf.

Well, I'm glad you liked it. Looking at the standings, I think it was a little too tight. It definitely gave an advantage to cars with either a small final drive gearing (Lewis's RX7, Sameer's Scirocco, Greg's 510) or to ones that could just remain in first without bouncing off their rev-limiters (the WRXen and Evos). I was driving like crap so I can only blame myself for that, but experienced drivers like the Drews and Harry Allen shouldn't've been so far down in the standings. I'd definitely like to get feedback on this. I proved my OBS's worth last year, so I'm not all that concerned personally, but I'd like to make it fair for all entrants, and not just the people with big horsepower.
