Thumbs up RallyCross @ Thunderhill - May 14th

Ok, we'll try the "first" event one more time. Fortunately the field is no longer under water. It is a big ol' grass field though, so that may make things fun. I've always wanted a rallycross on a golf course. Depends how much is left after we tractor it and if we get the whole place graded before next weekend of course....

You know you want it.

Check the site... some new TSDs coming up next month as well.

Also, got confirmation: the field won't be graded since it's still a bit too soft for heavy equiptment. We'll just do minimal tractor work to smooth out the rough spots, but it'll otherwise be a shiny, freshly mowed field of grass when we start the day. That won't last long of course.

oh yeah, just one question... maybe few more later... So are we using the field on the right side of the entrance now? Last time I was on that field was during rally school and it was a bit bumpy.

We're in the same place we've always run the rallycrosses in the past.. the side on the left just after you turn off Hwy 162 to enter the track. We've only used the other side for the schools since there is a lot more room.

I think it was the first rallyx event... We didn't have a water truck or something and it was during the summer (I think). Workers were just eating dust out there man! But it was still fun. I still remember this one red truck drove VERY nicely around the course that day, but only did 1 lap or so.

I still can't believe anything green can grown on that plot of dust.

Oh! Oh, I wanna go! I just got my car back from the body shop and I'm worried about new paint. Whaddaya think, should I do it? Can I protect my fresh paint somehow? Lots of tape? I would just take the GL and drive that, but there's no way in hell I'll have it ready in time.
