Rally Road Video

Hello. Here is the video that I made last week when KindersPlus and I were up at Hollister Hills. He found this road and took us on it. Video is about 11 minutes long. At about 7:40 into the video we almost lose it. I should be able to keep the video up for a day or two then I need to find a new host for it.

copy and paste link.

This dirt road is 10 miles north of the entrance to Pinnacles National Park on Highway 25 if anyone feels like driving it. I wish I knew the correct exit number off of 101, but I will do some research. On the same note, does anyone know of any other maintained dirt roads in the Salinas/Monterey/Santa Cruz area?

Let's see when you almost lost control of your car we were doing about 50, although most of that road we were doing a good 60mph, atleast I know we were going that fast when we passed the hunters. The horn when we pass the cow is from me I always honk at cows. I love that road!

Road Details:
Ok it is called Gloria Rd and it is located between Gonzales and Soledad on the 101. The exit on 101S is supposedly called Gloria Rd Exit. It is about 16 miles long. The side that is in Monterey County is pretty sketchy what with 300 foot cliffs and no guard rail, but the rest of it is what was seen in the video.

I have a real keen sense of finding twisty roads with no guard rails ;-) If anyone plans on going next weekend let me know, I will show up.

Sure, I could try to make a good route that incorporated that road, and try to make it around 150 miles. I might even be able to link together pieces of our drive on Saturday, specifically the road at Fort Hunter Liggett. I will let you know what I come up with.

Are you talking about the road to the coast or the one that goes to Arryo Seco?
