Rally Armor Scraping

whatsup guys, i just put on rally armor flaps the other day and made a trip to tahoe. But ever since i put em on, ive been scraping on every little thing. My car is fairly low so i know thats the reason for my problem. my question is how long the flaps can take the beating. I dont want to run my car so low/have the flaps on all the time if the flaps are gonna get rubbed off really fast. if you run your car low and slow and with rally armor flaps, please chime in and let me know how long youve had them/how theyre holding up. thanks!

my car is fairly low and i too am running the mudflaps, i know how you feel. every speed bump i encounter I scrape. ive had em on for more than a few months now and they holding up fine.

what you can do is drill holes in them and move the mudflaps up higher to prevent the scraping.

plus, if you ever break them, send back to rally armor and they will send you new ones.

They just scrape, better that the rally armor takes the abuse rather than the paint on your bumpers / fenders / doors .

If they brake, they're inexpensive to replace.

just drill new holes and move them up.

i moved mines up about 2" on the front and 1.5" up on the rear to help compensate w/ the drop. it isn't that hard to do.

+1 for drilling holes to move them up. I have mine on my lowered wagon and I have about 1 inch difference from the original holes, although they still scrape on speedbumps. You will never get rid of the scrape over bumps.

The scraping is engineered into the product.
It provides the driver with an audible indicator that he/she is taking the corner at the correct speed.

No scrape = too slow.
Scrape = just right.

Wow thats cool at least i know im doing the right speed now !!! lol. Ive had mine on for a few months, the only noticable damage is the bottom edge is a little rough from when they rub. I certainly cant lower my car anymore though with the mud flaps on. That would be seriously annoying !!!

they are designed for a car that is at stock height
rally cars are not dropped to the ground
you should probably modify them to fit either redrill the mountings to move them up or shave the bottom

does anyone with the stock height springs have a measurement of ground to the bottom of the flaps?
