Angry Rain!!!! (need help)

Well, I'm glad the rain is back, but when I was driving to work I think some got in my hood scoop.

Will my int3rc00l3r be ok?

no, tape up the front of your hood scoop, or buy an RS hood. water in yor intake can cause many problems

Yes. Tape up your hoodscoop and put a cork in your air intake, too.

and your car still works!? when the weather starts to look bad i put a towel in my trunk...then if it starts raining i stop IMEDIATELY, pop the hood and clog the scoop with the towel. Be sure to cover the entire TMIC too.

hope i could help

no problem. you might as well take your intercooler off during the winter anyway, it ends up warming the are since its next to the turbo. just get some pvc pipe from ace hardware or something and go from the turbo to your intake manifold... tihs will greatly improve throttle response as well as smooth out your power curve....

Agreed... just route PVC off the Y-pipe and you'll be fine. PVC is heat resistant too so your turbo won't melt it.

All this talk of tape and paper towels. You guys are all crazy.

Dont you know that small molecules of whater might still seep through any of these solutions?

I just finished putting the last coat of epoxy into on top of my scoop. I've got a wall about 3-4 inches think of epoxy in there. I think I'm OK now.

Matt, all these guys are amateurs. I have a factory solution for you. I have a nice, sealed torque box that bolts up right to your intercooler mounting points. Since your turbo and all that associated piping won't fit correctly anymore, you can throw 'em in my shed for the winter

See how nice a guy i am?
