Raiders OWN3D on MNF!!!!

The Raiders allowed a determined and willfull Brett Favre to pass for 311 yards and 4 TD's in the 1st half of Monday Nights game between the Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers. All this after the day Brett Favre's father died of a hearth attack. Brett Favre ended the game with 22-30 passing, 399 yards passing, a quarterback rating of 158, and 4 TD's.

Noteable mentions: Jerry Rice, 10 catches for 159 yards.

So Gagan, where are you Raiders at? I think Tee Martin should be playing for you guys, since he can actually pass the ball down the field

At least the Faders are a talentless team that sucks. The 49ers are doomed to finish 8-8 with a more talented roster than some teams that went to the super bowl the last few years.

I'm the worlds dumbest fan!

Karl: Raiders could be 12-4, still wouldn't be in the playoffs (due to KC and Denver).

I haven't followed football much at all this season. Been working and i had school mondays. I'll be following the playoffs. #4 is a really a great QB. It would have been equally understandable had he not played because of what happened.

Brett Favre cannot be stopped. He had something to prove last night, and did it for his father! I hate the Packers, but he is great...

fock Green Bay: FYI there was NOTHING better than rubbing it in all the newly found GB fans back in '97 that they were going to lose to the Broncos! That was the ISHT!!!!!

Both the Raiders and Niners suffered from the same acute problem this year:

They both started former Pro-Bowl QB's who needed the boot.

I'm a Niners fan, and I like Tim Rattay or Ken Dorsey as the Starters, and as far as the Faders go, I would prefer seeing Mirer or Tee Martin as the Starters. I think Tuiassosopo (sp?), Brad Johnson, and Gannon need the boot.

Dorsey and Rattay, don't handle placeholding or kicking, and they can't block for themselves either. I don't think they would have won any more games with either of them starting, but they may not have lost any more either. But Niner fans can tell Raider fans, Mirer ain't the answer. He got beat out by Cade McNown.

I call BS on Dorsey and Rattay.

Plus Kevin, I can tell that you clearly don't know your football:

Mirer was released for salary-cap reasons (SF did like having him around), and McNown was injured goods, picked up for a conditional draft pick (which never went to Miami because he never played for the Niners.

GO PACKERS I was in row 12 on the 5 yard line. It was great to see all the Raider fans leave during the 3rd and the thing was that alot of them kept chanting "raiders suck" hahaha It was great. Oh and even superman stopped by "SHAQ" he wslked around the field to go and talk to the Packers sideline.

Oh and Lisa from the MNF show was right in front of us daym!!

Raiders are my favorite team ever. Though I hope they lose to SD next week and end up with the first pick in the draft. Last time they picked high first round they got Chuckie Woodson.

So if Brown and/or Rice retire, they'll have cap room to bring TO across the bay. Draft the best player available with the first pick. I think they have another pick from Tampa but I'm not sure. Use that to get a S. Get John Navarre/Ely Manning hopefully in the 3rd round. Finish it up with OL help and LB/DL they'll be good to go. Just gotta pick smart.

Just need a QB for the next season or two if Gannon doesn't come back.

I fail to see where my claims that Rick Mirer is not a winning quarterback, and that Dorsey and Rattay were not ready this year to lead a championship-caliber football team would lead one to proclaim my ignorance of football. Don't throw around insults so lightly. Mirer was indeed released for cap room- but he only made about $650k. How good can he be for the 49ers to go into that season with only Rattay and Brandon Doman as backups, when neither of them had any significant experience in the NFL? Mirer was a #1 overall pick with 10 years of experience, was playing for peanuts, and they still cut him- so don't tell me I don't know football. If you'd like, you can research some discussions I had with people last season in BAIC where I very clearly indicated how good the Niners' defense would be this year, despite the lack of significant offseason personnel upgrades, upon the return of Jamie Winborn (due to Julian Peterson's being freed to wreak havoc on the passer as well as ends and receivers), which was solidified by their sudden lack of fortitude when he was injured again this year. But I digress. My point is, don't attack my intelligence because I disagreed with something you said.

Uh...I disagree with you. Neither Dorsey or Rattay is the answer. If a QB can't perform in the 49ers offense then he is a worthless pile(do you hear me Drunkenmiller?).

I do agree with you on Mirer. He has some serious suck going on. I'd start Ronald Curry over his ***.
