Quick Ratio Steering: Who Has Done This In The Bay?
Do you know anyone in the Bay (southish) that has a quick ratio steering rack?
I'm reluctant to buy this mod without sitting in someones car watching them steer. Not asking to drive of course, a ride-along would be perfect. Would be great for AutoX, then again i will loose the fine adjustment i get with a stock rack in exchange for faster steering which is nice, but may not suit my style.
Autocross Rallycross and Mountains mainly, despite being my DD
Any comments on these racks would be helpful too. Pros/Cons, install, price, quality, brand, advice etc
So anyone at local meets that you know of would be great, thanks.

Hey Kyle...are you on RS25.com as well? If so check with AngryToaster he's put an 04 sti steering rack in his car, but there's some modification of course. Something with the crossmember and the steering rack bolting onto or something where it will seem like it fits, but will bind up when in use. I was kinda looking into this since I wanted a "quicker steering" feel as well just for the hell of it

price: nothing stays on my mind unless its affordable. i saw the LE banner and clicked it a few weeks ago, i think it was $500? Threads from years back, people were paying close to $1000 for some
Yeah the STi one may be the way to go. could get one for cheap off a totalled sti probably.
I mean faster steering, but its actually not because it uses more effort to turn the wheel, so im not sure how much of an advantage it is. i actually think its more suited to the track opposed to tight autocrosses which is why i was initially interested
I mainly want it because i never know where to catch the wheel sliding out of a hairpin and sometimes my car wants to go off the cliff
Maybe i just need a yellow stripe on top of the wheel.
