Quick question about seats in cars...

I have an 07 STi, which I really love... I'm 6'6.5 and weigh about 260, and the stock STi seats are TERRIBLE... I mean, there is soooo much room to slide around in.

Ive heard that the new 08+ STi seats are a little more forgiving, is this true?

Right now I have V6 STi seats in my car as per the other thread...

Why is SOA making these seats sooo damn wide!? Does SOA read these forums? Does anyone here have a connection where they can send this to SOA?

How many of you are swimming in you fat american seats?

drive the EVO X. If you can even fit. I am 5'10 175 and they are very nicely snug!!

I think 08+ STI seat is worse than 04-07 ones...

I noticed the same thing about the seats. The seats on my 09 aren't nearly as snug as my old 02 seats. The material is nicer, but fit got worse.

Oh the WRX seats are just garbage. I mean they aren't as bad as civic seats, but could be A LOT better.

Maybe SOA assumes ALL americans are fatasses?

And +1 for Evo X seats, fake CF and all

Daniel, are you still getting thrown around in the JDMs? I'd like to try them sometime I'm up in the bay area.

do this

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/2149115-post9.html

Un-zipped the back of the seats. Grabbed a hammer, and stretched the crap out of the three coil springs that run across the back of the seat. (By pulling them towards the back of the car) I got them so they were basically strait across, rather than towards the front of the car (hard to explain but you'll know what i mean)

This made a HUGE difference and the seat actually fits AROUND me. I actually have LUMBAR support now! The sides of the chair hug my lats.

The latest Civic Si seat is actually better than WRX/STI seat!

I was talking about your typical "by mid-90s civic is pretty much a race car" civic

I'm 6' 185 and sliding in my seats is easily my biggest problem when driving. It's terrible.

I think most STi drivers don't like their seats due to sliding. I'm short and I don't even like it STi's should come standard with Brides
