Quick qestion...
so i think my wheel bearing is out, some guys from a meet kinda confirmed that aswell, so im going to the dealership ( since my car has 13k miles) and my question is, would they deny my warranty claim because of a cat-back exhaust(greddy)? eventhough it has nothing to do with the bearing going out?

Seems like they most likely wouldn't. You could always swap the stock exhaust back on if for some reason you think they'll give you a hard time, doubt they would though as long as you have your warranty.

i cant remember the name of the law right now but they would have to prove that yoru exhaust is the reason your bearign went out for them not to cover it.
any modification you make has to be proven to be the fault of whatever you are tryign to get covered under warranty.

They have to prove that your mods directly influence the failed part.
They'll fix it no questions asked. I can't believe it went. My first one just went and it was at 135,000.

the noise could have been coming from either place.
A not clamped correctly filter can rattle or squeek or if it's got a gap you can hear the sound of air wrapping around the butterfly in the throttle body which whistles.
The axle issue could cause a grinding sound that would sound like a wheel bearing. That's probably the sound right there.
guess the point is... Did it go away?

They're gonna find anything they can to not fix it. Where are you taking it?
Check out your exhaust. Fix everything. Then take it somewhere else. Tell them its been doing it since BEFORE ANY mods.

on a side note:
it's pretty unheard of that a wheel bearing would be out with that low mileage, could it be an anolomy...sure but still very unlikely.
I see those exhausts hitting the rear diff area all the time. But that rattling/tapping noise sounds nothing like a wheel bearing noise.
Hope you get it straightened out.

tell them not to "fix" your exhaust. you will have to pay for the labor of checking it, but hopefully it won't be that much. swap your exhaust back to stock and if it still makes the noise, take it somewhere else.

Javi - How did the other person "confirm" your wheel bearing was toasted?
