Hey I noticed that in my town a lot of Indian men wear their head dressing wrap thing. I am not sure the exact name, but I am curious what is it for? I had always thought it was for relief of heat that you encounter in the areas it came from but I might be wrong.

I am curious what it is for if not for heat? If it is for heat why do Indian/Middle eastern men wear them when it is not hot?

one word "Religon" im not indian(muslim is the religon) but i had friends that were.

 

the indian people you see wearing the turbans are doing so because of religon. more specifically the sikh religion. Middle eastern men im not enitrely sure about.

 

oh and most sikhs are from the state in india called punjab, making them punjabi.

Arabs wear Shemaghs and Kaffiyeh. Apparently they're also popular with Emo kids and people who shop at Urban Outfitters.
