Question about Fuel Hose

Hey guys, so I'm putting my car back to stock and I had to take out all my gauges. I'm currently working on the fuel hose since I took out my fuel pressure gauge. I had a hell of a time removing the old hoses, it took a lot of twisting and turning to get them off the larger diameter nipples.

Now as I try to put the new hose on, I can't get it over the larger diameter portion. Here's my question, is it okay to use some type of lubrication, say, motor oil or engine assembly lube? I have no idea if it will have any negative effects, say, clogging my injectors. I realize if I do use it, I'd have to apply only a small film and not a whole lot.

Just checking in with the BAIC tech guys here.
