Question About the Clear Bra...

Is there a visible line where the clear bra stops on the hood? Another thread has popped up recommending that Krinkov is the man for the job.... I'm interested but wanted to see what it looks like and if it junks up the front at all?

thx

There is a slight line where the bra ends, but you don't really notice it. PM Krinkov and I am sure he can hit you up with some pics.

Depends on the color. On silver cars its not that noticible, but on my black one it is, unless i clean it up using a toothpick after i wax, then its not as noticible, but regardless of how well i keep the wax off, its thick enough to protect so there will be a slight line. It doesn't junk it up at all, from more than a few feet you only see it if you're looking for it or at certain angles for the fenders, otherwise it is invisible and does not show up in pictures.

Though if he shows you some pics and the line seems quite obvious, it's because he's trying to find angles where the line is that obvious so you can see it. My friend's 04 WRX had jeremy clear bra his, and it was a great job, and pretty hard to see unless you're looking for it.

I had one on my SVT focus Red and you could not see it at all it was the best investment I have ever made. I just wish the guy that origionally had my wrx would have put one on.

on WRB paint, it's barely visible. it's well worth it.

if you're in SJ, feel free to drop by to check it out on my car.

what color is your car?

If you want to you can check mine out. Or look at my photos....you can't see it.

while driving or parked unless you're right up on it you can not see it. And my car is white. White is probably the hardest to hide it because when the film get dirty it gets a bit yellow. I keep mine hostily **** clean. On top of that some materials yellow after a while. On pretty much every color exept white you can't see it. Jeremy/krinkov has a new material he uses on white. Mine is looking good still. He does a good job.

One thing you have to be aware of is the waxes you use and keeping it clean. It needs to be waxed but it needs to breeth. It needs to stay pretty clean and try to stay away from colored waxes. Or if your car isn't white carnuba waxes...that leave white residue. Either that or just spend the 15/20 minutes it takes to run a couple que tips along the edges to get the wax off.

Personally I don't see there being any other solution to our thin paint issues. And actually on any car. I don't think I'll ever own another new car without putting a clear bra on. I've had a rediculous amount of rocks hit my car. I have hundreds...literally hundreds of very small nicks in my windshield....it needs to be replaced. My hood....not a damn thing since i've put the bra on.

It's worth the money. And if you choose..when you sell the car or after a while if it gets beat up..it's like removing window tint. it comes off.

It's definitely worth getting a clear bra. It's probably the best investment I've made on my STI so far.
