PS2 Mod chip?

PS2 Mod chip?
Does anyone know how to chip a PS2? I'm looking into doing one and it seems that a permanent soldered one is the best, but the hardest to install. Anyone have experience doing these? If it helps, I seem to have a V4, but haven't opened it so I don't know if it's gap or no-gap.
Swap Magic is what you want...no need to solder..
