Prop 8 ruled unconstitutional.
Awesome!

On May 26, 2009, the California Supreme Court's 6-1 decision upheld Proposition 8. Two couples would not be silent while their relationships were declared unworthy of a marriage license. They took their case to a federal district court in California.
Today, that court ruled Prop 8 violates the U.S. Constitution. But this decision will likely be appealed, and could go all the way to the Supreme Court. Send these couples a note of thanks, find a peaceful "Day of Decision" rally in your area or share your thoughts with our Facebook community.

Let that be a lesson to all them arrogant, complacent coastal types who assume that California will always magically do the right thing on social issues -- even if they don't bother to do anything.

What rights do same sex couples NOT have before?
Oooo...does this mean you have a wife?
We are a land of laws. There's a process that must be followed.
Calm down, Francis...
So your are cool with brother marrying brother?
And be very careful about equating the gay "struggle" to the struggle suffered by slaves.
