Projector Headlight
I see this AD on i-club all the time for projector headlights. Just wondering if anyone has picked up a pair. They LOOK like they work well BUT the price of a set $325 doesn't seem to be right. I have an HID kit from tophidkits.com fitted into my stock assembly, so I'm looking for legit HIDs.

This is all you need to see:

poor cutoff, glare & narrow beams...
Compare this to what HIDs should look like:

Sharp cutoff, no glare, nice beam spread
You can't expect to retro in HIDs without spending bucks or producing an unacceptable amount of glare. An HID into a halogen projector is really not any different from an HID into a stock headlight. The shape of the light source is inherently different on an HID (arc between two points) than a halogen (round coil wound between two points). You cannot have a dual purpose reflector / projector because the physics doesn't work. Something designed to correctly aim light from a wound straight cylinder will not properly reflect light from something that has more the shape of a rainbow.
Just another case of "physics is a *****" maybe more appropriately "everyone is physics' *****"

I picked them up a couple of weeks ago and they are very easy to install. Literally almost plug and play.
I like them, they're not bad. I get alot of compliments

I make sure to take some pictures for you later today and post them up. It's too sunny out right now and the pictures turned up with glare

My friend from back home in Indiana (also an I-Club member) has the black set and he loves them. I got to see them this past May when I went home. They are pretty nice.
You'll probably regret it in a couple years. These headlights don't really last, and the plastic used on the covering isn't lexan like on the OEM projectors.
Result, they get rock damage.
And yes, I know from personal experience as well as a few other guys who bought these when they came on the market in 2006-2007
