Has anyone had a problem with the black tape underneath the STI wing on an '05.

After a couple of carwashes.. it seems to have come loose and parts of this black tape are sticking out the back of the wing.. Looks awful and cheap.. and looks like i slapped the wing on in a unprofessional manner.

The wing and car is all stock..
anyone else seen anything like this ? Ill try to get a picture of the ugliness.

 

just take off the wing and fix it . . . some of the black tape was sticking out of my wrx wing and i just removed the tape where it was sticking out

 

take it to the dealer.

 

Happened on mine after the guy who bought it ran it through a carwash place.

Shouldn't happen on hand washes.

 

thanks.. Ill figure out if i can do it myself without doing any damage..

 

Mine is doing that too. I just trimmed the black tape stuff, and it seems to be ok right now.
