I couldn't handle it. Read the first page, and the last page, shook my head and closed the tab.

omg they are practicing launching techniques for the car now?

"plan on taking the prius to the track soon to see what it'll do in the 1/4. I've been reading up on how to launch it. This is what I've came up with as the best way to drag race a prius based on only what i've read:

- Charge the battery to full by holding the gas and brake all the way down till the engine shuts off.

- Launch the car in "B" mode because it will pre-load the engine to "launch"

- Of course try to have as little fuel as possible

I think I should be able to hit somewhere in the mid 17 second range. (hopefully) which is actually not bad."

Hes prob the guy who lost to the m3 going down hill

The reason? The m3 tops out at 150+, but the prius tops out at 108ish and he had low pro tires

he smokes sport bikes too

I see what happend.... I think all these races were either during traffic, or through a toll, because those prius keep going, and goin and going and going. I hear the 2008 are longer lasting too.

this is a joke right???? no way will a prius beat a M3 unless the driver is a *****.
the M3 tops out at 168mph with stock computer.
I must agree that the pruis has mad torque off the line but after 1st gear the race should be over and the prius will be needing a recharge

Hell yeah I post over at PriusChat.

But no ub3r s1ck str33t r8c1ng k1ll5 for me...

Does cruising by a car in the carpool lane count as a "kill?" If that counts, I've killed an E55 AMG and an SRT-4.

Dunno, is it? It seems like a kill at the point where I keep going and the other guy is stopped. Guess it isn't b/c people who ain't in an HOV lane in 8am traffic have no shot at all... but it's fun to watch them try to keep up, weaving through the right lanes...
