A guy I know locally in SCCA has an E30 with E36 M3 motor in it. And yes, it is definite drool material

pretty sweet ride! the e30 m3 is what made me get my WRX. Ever since I saw the e30's box flares, I really wanted a car w/some. I woulda gone w/the e30, but I couldn't justify paying that much for a 20+ year old car.

I just saw a club racer wannabe e30 m3 in SF last Sat. It was white w/M inspired red & blue graphics, AND a whole mess of other ones, including a huge "Warsteiner" on the side. It looked like it had a white rollcage too....didn't get a long look at it, since I was stuck at the light as it passed in front of me on Geary St & Arguello near the old Coronet Theater.

same here the flared look is timeless, makes the car seem to never get old... 20 years or 3 it still lights that fire inside in a glance

$18,000 Can't justify that at all. I could buy 360,000 minutes of phones calls with that. Or do a Normandy scenario in paintball. That'd be awesome.

Exactly. There is a really clean gunmetal one I see in San Mateo all the time. It's dropped on some HREs with a pair of red Recaro SRDs... I drool every time I see it.

Damn, that thing is sick! Thats quite a mod list too....but rotors and SS lines.....no new pads or BBK? I know its already an M3 but is that enough stopping force for such a light car with an E36 M3 motor, cams, and exhaust, etc? i dunno, just a thought.....still a nicely done ride.....love that Laguna Seca blue too...yum!
