Is the sti pump the same as a wrx? I'm looking for a sti pump and they seemed to stop making them.

This is a for a 2005 sti..would there be any issues running a wrx power steering pump in a sti?

 

Anyone?

 

I believe the Inlet and outlet are in slightly different positions iirc. And Subaru has had multiple part numbers for the PS pump assembly.

What is wrong with the pump?

 

Highly doubt they simply stopped making them; more likely means it was replaced by another part number for your car. Where'd you get that info?

 

thanks Guys, I found out from dealer they are Interchangeable now and WRX and STI share the same Pump from 04-07.

I was involved in a slight collision last year so the shop is going through the specifics of the car as I had a slight noise coming from pump..Rather than diagnosing it they got me a new pump. I called Subaru Parts this morning and got the Part number they bought and its a STI one.

On a side note, I have to go pick up the old one from the shop me thinks nothing wrong with it, so it will be for sale soon!
