It's true. Was the same when I was getting out of high school. They rejected you for EVERYTHING back then.
Right now my other brother in law is having issues. He's been in for about 7 years. Already done one tour. But he moved from the army in california to national guard out in oklahoma. Then he moved out here. Got a release. Then the guys in the army office out here spent the last 10 months jerking him around. Now it's turned in to a huge issue. He finally got his release going again from the guard then he's going to re-enlist in the army.
Major pita. I just hope it goes through for him. He needs it and so do I. Wife and I can't afford to keep supporting him forever.

My back piece. I am finally going to get it finished this spring. Part way through I was in a motorcycle accident, and had to stop. I was in a ton of nerve pain, and getting hammered with needles was not high on my list. I am looking forward to finishing the raven, and completing the scene around it.

Here's my latte stone I got done last month. I got a latte stone on my calf because the ancient chamorros built these to be the foundation of their homes (basically like a pillar.) I'm part chamorro and wanted something that symbolized my heritage and also meant something else for myself (building a stronger foundation with a latte stone.) I plan to get my left calf done as well.
