ya im not not a huge fan of cats. i wouldnt say i hate them, but i def would never own one.
they dont need you, they dont want you around except if they want you to scrtch their head or let them outside or to feed them.
dogs though, they are excited when you get home, excited when you get up from the couch, sad/excited when you leave. excited when you play. excitd when you feed them.
dogs are better

lol the reason you don't like cats is the reason i like them. If im pissed and want to ignore my at i can and it does its own thing. And if i **** it off it will do it own thing. But if you **** off your dog it will come back time and time again!

Oh man, every time I come home my cat acts like it's the greatest thing to ever happen to her! She talks to me, rolls around the ground so I will pet her, rubs her head on my legs and follows me around.
If I'm in the living room she naps on the couch next to me; if I go in the bedroom she naps in there; when I'm getting ready for school/work in the morning and then bed in the evening she sleeps in a basket on the bathroom counter the whole time.
Yes, cats are more independent than dogs (which can be a good thing as ruehl pointed out), but they aren't all aloof little bastards... just some of them, lol
