I have messed around with environments mostly in traditional mediums , but not a lot. I intend to practice painting environments by just copying great photos, at least to start. Would love to learn to do matte paintings. Check this dudes website if you are into painting . . . awesome! Craig Mullins paints mostly on the computer, and has done lots of work for both the film and game industry:

I went Backpacking, Palisades, 7000-11,000 ft. It was a first for all of us, so 22 miles in 3 days was plenty. We're gonna summit next trip
No bears, it sucked, we hardly saw any animals at all except birds and fish
I didn't poo from Fri AM to Sunday night lol
395S past Mammoth brings you to Big Pine south of Bishop. Then go west into the range.
We got lost and it was effin hot lol
Helped swap a 510 (SR20DE w/NissanVTEC for sale $4500)
