The Post Final Exam Rex Pickup
It was a rather cloudy day in at school. Big black clouds loomed overhead, threatening to dump the wrath of heaven upon unsuspecting students. I walked out of my final, confident that I had in fact fisted it with my head, and that the exam would bleed to death within a few days. I walked outside, giddy with excitement, and made the call:
“Hey dude, I just finished my final.”
“****ing sweet, I’m leaving right now.”
“Meet me by the school of management.”
*click
I started walking towards the edge of campus, keeping a vigilant eye on the clouds in the distance. I increased my pace, power walking, until I saw the red miata parked on the side of the road. I jumped inside.
“You ready?”
“Of course, let’s go.”
Merging onto I-80 East, we drove towards Reno. After a while, the clouds loomed directly overhead and the heavens opened. Rain fell like golfballs, motorists helpless in the carwash that followed. But we stuck it out, and the skies soon cleared. Driving into the mountains, we followed the highway. Pavement quality gradually decreased.

Up into the Sierra’s we climbed, until the white powder became more and more prevalent.

Finally, after over 100 miles, we reached our exit.

Navigating around the snowbanks, we headed down the road until we reached the house we were looking for.

And there it was. We got out of the car and admired it.

The other car was in the garage.

I see......

They took it out. After about 15 minutes, they brought it back and parked it outside, leaving the garage empty. A foreshadowing perhaps?

As they were finishing, and we were ready to leave, heaven decided to **** on us again. The white powder came down like mad. And I had to drive that little miata home.

The new driver pulled out, and I followed closely.

Leaving the border, the weather was about as pleasant as a vinegar enema.

Towards home, it started clearing up.

And here we are, home sweet home:

So now, my roommate has a rex too. Albeit, it's a different one, but hey!

i love posts like this.. congratualations!
just dont ever buy a car and park in a door ding spot!!! VVV
that miata should be backed in 2 inches against the curb and you should pull straight in leaving about 4 inches between you and the miata...this way both drivers doors are accesable
<---door ding parking space critic
