They're worth the protection. Save your knuckles (gauntlets are always a welcome addition, too) I have 2 pairs of SP-2's, and SP-1s will probably be my next purchase. If you search, you might be able to find used ones in great condition for about $40-60.
Can't believe that Subaru went back to a BLING-BLING headlights ('11 models came with a black housing).

I ended up having the housing painted on my 2006 STI, but I actually like the chrome housing with the white car.
