Haha! I didn't say it made sense. It's just one of those things I always equated with porsche. Much like many of us love the sound of the suby exhaust. If Suby changed their header design and this went away, plenty of people here would complain. Would the car be any worse? No, but some people would like them just a little bit less. In my mind, the best porsches were the old turbo'd aircooled racers of the 70's and 80's, so I'd want my road version to be like them. Since those are the porsches I grew up loving, I just can't get in to the newer watercooled and "comfy" porsches. I'm not the only one out there.

With a Z06 you better watch out for the self-delaminating roof panels.

It's not as thought they all have the problem. All cars have their areas that are problematic (i.e. 02-03 wrx trans) but that doesn't mean that each and every car of that type will have the problem. Not to mention that was a problems that was covered under warranty (recall I believe) and is no longer a problem in newer cars. For the savings, I'd take my chances.

I'm down with the old-skool Porsches too, but you gotta love the new stuff. And you don't have to make a new Porsche "comfy"
