I don't know where you are, but there are many options - hit up Gruppe-s and they'll pull the code and tell you what it means.
|
if you are towards Livermore I can pull/clear the code as well. I can use the OBDII software or my Access Port. :)

i thought autozone stopped doing that?
|
Yes autozone has sotpped providing that service
|
Not sure where you're located either but if you're in the SSF,San Bruno, Millbrae area I'd be glad to pull it for you.
|
Autozone still had it went down there and used it.. I pulled a mis-fire on plugs 1 and 3... What causes this it was upon start up that it popped.. I scheduled an appt with the dealer to get this checked and do the seat recall bs.. I reset it and all is well..

I work at autozone we still provide it at a fee.. but if you see me there i'll take it outside and do it for free. Come on in

Lol i was at the one in concord ( i have met you a few times) they read it for free..
I just reset the code and it hasn't popped but what causes this? I would also like to see your deck as i just purchased the eclipse/navi/dvd unit.. Ill be the white one also.. I get my **** put in on friday ill swing by on the weekend.. |
Most of the time its the 02 sensor that cause the check engine light to come on but it could be a variety of things like crank positioning sensor or even your muffler bearings :)

Just bought a used 03 WRX sedan yesterday with about 99XX miles on it. It has an aftermarket cat-back exhaust. So last night I was driving home from work, and my check engine light comes on. The car is bone stock except for the exhaust. Wondering if anyone can help me pull a code? I'm in Hayward, CA. If so, I would greatly appreciate it...=)

Thanks Jerry.[/QUOTE] Appreciate you offering to help, unfortunately I have class tomorrow, I do have a break from 12pm-5pm (evening class starts at 5pm in San Jose). I scheduled an appointment with the dealer I bought the car from for Wednesday. If they are not able to help me with the check engine code, I'll definitely contact you. Thanks for your concern. |
