POLL: Which tires should i buy?

i'm working with a tight budget.

at 215/45r17 and having a lowered car on tein basic coilovers... i should be fine right? if that assumption is so... then which the following tires should i get?

Fuzion HRi = All Season // 440 AA Treadwear @ $72

Kumho Ecsta AST = All Season // 400 AA Treadwaear @ $76

General Exclaim UHP = Summer // 380 AA Treadwear @ $82

all those tires are pretty mediocre man if you drive quickly at all. maybe save up a couple more bucks for something solid. youre already on coilovers. tires are the only part of the vehicle that touch the road. i don't know much about the other tires but I know that generals are not sporty at all. yes a good tire will cost you $120-150 more per set but it is well worth it over 40,000 miles. That's about 1¢ every 3 miles.

$114/tire... probably your best pick.

bit more...

pilot sport a/s+ don't come in your requested size.

How about Falken 912s? Where are you getting these quotes from if you don't mind me asking. Seems like your quotes on tires is cheaper than the ones I can find.

Get summer tires (dont get an all season unless you need to drive in the snow)

I have these on my STi - I like them.

^ ive had fk452's, which were amazingly grippy for 205, but they wore out just as fast as my summer sticky 225 potenza 050's did so no point really.

Exclaim only because it has the RallyX pattern

My moms OBS has them, they are nice

not bad.. thanks. i'll keep these in mind, but its a tad low on the treadwear rating. and i'm leaning towards the generals because of the M+S rating... driven thru them in the snow before, so i know they can handle.

I've heard no so good things about the Exclaim, specifically that it is an unsual mix of a sporty tread pattern and an M+S compound, which equates to squishy handling. I forget which car mag I read that review in, but I think it was either C&D or SCC. I would say of those three the Kumhos would probably be the best choice.
