Please keep threads in appropriate sections.

Charlesj requests:

As a follow up to the OT discussion from a couple weeks ago, we are asking that Bay area members take more care in posting certain threads in the more appropriate sections of the site when they do not a specific regional topic (or off topic).

For example, tech threads should go in the Tech section. OT discussions that have nothing to do with the region should go in random thoughts. Unless there is a specific regional reason for the thread, please place it where it belongs. The will make things easier for the mod staff, and allow the rest of the site to participate and grow

As a secondary request, please participate in the other areas of the site. The biggest reason I got for why people post threads in here that maybe do not belong in here is because there are more members from this region than other areas. If everyone uses the site as it is supposed to be used, this would not be a problem. If we continue to allow this bias towards allowing threads where they do not belong, the longevity and strength of this community will be compromised. This is also true for other regional sections. We thank you for you help.

As a follow up, I have recently been moving a number of threads from this an other sections. Mainly the threads being moved are either tech threads, completely off topic, or about other cars. In all cases they have no directly relevance to this regional section. For the health of the site, it is important to keep threads where they belong so that members in other regions may participate and it makes the site easier to follow. Please do your best to choose which section to make you post in before posting. Thank you.
