Question Please Help!! ECU swap questions

I am currently running a electronic boost controllor, S-afc, VF29, Sti injectors, STi TMIC, Catback and uppipe.
I just purchased a reflashed stage-2 ECU from someone on the forum. I am planning to swap the reflashed ECU in my car to replace my boost controller.

Today, I disabled the boost controller in my car (the stock ECU now control the boost) and tried a few WOT runs. I noticed that the turbo spool up faster but the maximum boost is only arond 10 psi.
1) Is it normal to see the stock ECU holds only ~10 psi? Is it because my turbo is slightly larger than the stock one? (With the boost controler previously tuned by Shiv from Vishnu, my max boost was around 16psi)
2) If I swap the reflashed stage2 ECU in, should I be able to see ~15 psi max boost?
2) Any advice or comment before I swap the ECUs?
(Do I to disconnect the battery or something?)

Any input will be helpful!
THANKS!!!

It might either take time to learn to reach full boost now that it's under control, or the restrictors in the lines are sized significantly different from what the stock ECU was tuned on. Stock boost levels, with the stock turbo and lines should be around 13.5-14.

What do you mean by stage 2 ecu? Is it remotely tuned for your mods? I think you should just go spend $650 or so and get a custom tune, or a UTEC. And get a downpipe.

In fact, I don't even know what stage 2 is either... That's why I want to test it.

I just brought it from someone and he says it is a stage 2 ECU from i-speed...

Actually, I really don't care what stage it is in as long as it is reflashed, because I am going to find someone to custom tune it for me later. (I am just trying to save some money. In stead of paying 650 for the reflash and another 200 for tuning, I am hoping that I can just use this reflashed ECU and just pay for tuning)

Now I just want to test it to see what it will do....
and I will have to swap it in before someone can help me to tune it anyways...

I thought about gettin a downpipe...but I am worried that I won't pass the smog...
that I might get caught going catless.....and that smell .....etc

anyways, is it really that bad not replacing my stock downpipe?
if it is, i might just get one later..
thanks!

OH yah if it's i-speed they should be able to retune it for cheapo.

You're probably sacraficing a lot of power with the two cats. You can get a hi-flow-catted downpipe, like the helix.

I'd be easy on the car unless you have monitoring equipment to make sure the tune is safe (AFR, EGT, knock, etc). Personally I wouldn't drive on a basically unknown tune. Swap it in once you get to i-speed.

Good luck.
