Please, adopt this dog -- young Dachshund

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/pet/2007651128.html

I found this guy running on Sunset Blvd last Friday night, he miraculously escaped being hit by multiple cars. I kept him overnight, but my Lab was trying to eat him, so I had to take him over to Animal Control. Nobody has clamied him yet, I'm pretty sure he was dumped by his owners.

The dog is super sweet. I think he is pure-bread. He looks to be very young and had his *****, he is unlikely to keep them though during the adoption process. Please, don't let this guy be put to sleep, I can't stop thinking about this dog.

Thank you.

Stan

I recently had to give my dog up as well luckily to someone that could care for him. The shelter is no place for a dog, someone get em!

Just a heads up, you shouldn't post a link to the edit page.

so I just called the shelter and they stated the dog is currently on some sort of wait period until 10/19 so it gives the owner some time to claim the dog. I'm looking forward to adopting this dachshund so my mini dachshund has someone to play with haha. I'll keep u guys posted.

So, what happened was, when I was trying to grab him from underneath moving cars (****-tard drivers, STOP YOU MORONS), he grabbed my hand, breaking skin. This automatically means the shelter will put him on a 10-day waiting period to make sure there is no rabies and that he is not violent. Good part of that is this gave me 10 days instead of 5 they regularly keep dogs for until evaluating what to do with them next.

He is super sweet, stayed very close to me the whole time I had him. He was scared, so he busted out the teeth. I really do appreciate you trying to adopt him.

Stan

Awesome! If something happens and you can't adopt, let me know and I have a couple friends that I will want to mention this little guy to. Problem is they are out of the country on their Honeymoon right now for the next week or so.

Keep calling and checking up. There aren't many people there, they'll know you are interested.

Awww he's adorable, I have a miniature dachshund as well named Roland. They are the most entertaining dogs you can have. Hope someone adopts him.
