Weight shift will definitely do that. I also read somewhere that Al Qaeda claimed responsibility. Which is most likely a freaking joke.

That could definitely do it. Those suckers are heavy and if all that weight hit the back of the plane... damn...

I need to find out where my buddy is. He flies those things all over the world. He's been working on something else lately. But he was running back and forth with equipment the last couple years. Blackhawks, etc.

It was a civilian 747 cargo and 8 crew that was contracting out transport for the military.

Jesus. Prayers go out to all those involved

I would deff agree with weight shift. judging by how the plane was behaving shortly after take off, it deff seemed like real heavy cargo shifted to the rear, dragging down the back and causing it give it a stalling effect. wither that, or they got some crazy wind over tehre!
