Pismo Beach <56k warning>
I'm currently in SLO visiting my friends who go to school here. Needless to say I ended up out on the sand dunes. Here are some pictures. This was probably the most fun, ever. Even though all the trucks and quaders were hating on me the whole time. None the less it was still epic. Enjoy!
I kicked the majority of people out of my car for my runs.

Getting ready to go out for the first time.
Cutting it up for a bit

Cutting it up some more...

My inexperience on terrain such as this lead to this:

(While checking out how bad I was stuck, I realized someone last night put about a baseball size dent on my front left fender, I am a sad panda.)
Out and about again, here is a nice sequence:

This one is my personal favorite:

And exiting the slide.

Last one.

Pretty much the most exciting thing I have ever done. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I'm off to pita pit and possibly a nap before tonight haha.

pismo fun
=) I did the same thing in 2002. Thanks for the pics what a reminder. We we're so shocked that we forgot to take pics. At one point my friends buried the tires with sand on the flats and it took 3 trucks=1 suburban fwd+1 suburban awd+ 1 jeep.

For sure cleaning my car will be a pain, but it was so worth it. The guy on the atv was following me because he was digging me out there. I drove by him the first time and he was like YEAAAAAAAA YEAAAAAA and was waving his fist in the air. Only guy to show kudos.

My parents lived in the Pismo area the whole time I was going to college in Santa Barbara ~ I got everything you could imagine stuck in the dunes
But, weekdays without all of Fresno and Bakersfield there, it can be great fun!!! I had a 911 and I would go as far south as I had to to get away from the rangers... then open 'er up! 100 mph in the flat firm sand was a giant kick! Then it was 3-4 days to get the sand out!
