I'm going in December too! TEAM events are really great - very safe and professionally run (even includes a tasty lunch). I think this will be my 6th event with them.

What is too bad? That it's 6 sessions instead of 8? I don't get your point... The total time the track is hot is limited by the track staff, so you can only divide it up so many ways. If you have 3 run groups (generally the best split) then the math works out to ~2.5 hrs per group. Most people are pretty tired by the end of the day! Here's the text from TEAM's driver's handbook:
"Our standard run group format has drivers running their first session for twenty minutes, then four sessions of twenty-five minutes, and their final session runs for twenty minutes. Overall, you will get two hours and twenty minutes of track time!"
Sure, go to http://www.team-racing.org and follow the links. The price is lower in the off-season as the track charges less. Also, turnout has been low for everyone these days as the economy is taking its toll...so, like sales in every area, folks are offering deals to try to bring in the customers.
Cheers, Bill

And my buddies and I used to run our own trackdays for motorcycles - so I've ridden/raced 30+ minutes every hour before. Driving a car may be just as difficult but if anyone has been in full leathers and gear in 100+ degree weather for long periods of time, you know how much more difficult that is.
And besides, I think my car would poop out before I would

I believe there is only 1 spot left for C group (0-3 track days) and 2 spots left for B group (4-6 track days)

Wish I could go, but my track budget is drained for the year, and play money is gonna go towards snowboarding now.
I can't wait for the 2010 HPDE norcal calendar to come out. We should get a Subie party goin some time.
