#1) White EVO entering turn 3 put two off drivers left....end over end with a nice pirouette!!
#2) San Rafael Mitsubishi w/ full cage....also a White EVO....exiting turn 8 put two off drivers right.....high speed rollover!!
California Motor Speedway
#3) Silver EVO....not sure....but definitely headon with a wall!!
Infineon/ Sears Point
#4) White EVO in the picture above.....went wide exiting turn 8 (known as the esses)...two off and back across the track to move the concrete barrier at least 1 foot back!! driver OK!!
Some people are guessing that the quick steering ratio of the EVO is making it hard to recover an Evo.....Personally i'm just not seeing as many destroyed & rolled subies as i am Evos....

I think it's because the Evo instills so much confidence in Newb drivers that they tend to make the same mistakes but going a lot faster... so when a Suby driver will just drive 2 or 4 off, the same guy in an Evo would put it 4 off or into a wall. a WRX owner has modded his car and gotten progressively faster, whereas the Evo driver starts with close to 300hp and advans with grip almost to the level of an R comp out of the box.
but that still doesn't explain why STi drivers don't wreck as often as Evos. Probably because the Subys have the slower steering as you said and it takes a little more finesse to drive them balanced whereas the Evo is just a car meant to handle under power oversteer and four wheel drifts. Hehe.

Andrew, OT but I thought Id ask since you mentioned it, whats the deal with SR Mitsu? I went by there the other day and they have what seems like their own tuning and performance shop run by the dealership itself. Also seeing a ton of evos around San Rafael these days, even an MR right down my street. Whats the story?

Always good to see so many Subis out for exercise!
Another thing about Evos: I think the center diff is on full time auto. No good for track work.
