Well, I had my wrx shipped from Vacaville to Portland. Was as close to Kennewick WA as I could get it with the fuel prices the way they are. Anyway, I drove to Portland last Friday and picked the car up on a flat trailer I have. On the way home on the i205n, some girl rear ends a lady on the on/off ramp and pushes her into my truck denting the quarter panel, damaging the rear wheel, and breaking my exhaust. Overall the truck is not that bad, but the trailer collided with her car throwing it into a fish tail, I was going 55 mph in the slow lane. The wheel was destroyed as well as the axle and fender. I managed to pull over on the side of the road and could only manage to get off on the fast lane side. I get out and didn't know what to think, a good 3-4 hours from home. I went back and got all the information from all the parties involved and found that no one was hurt, had the cop who arrived help me back to my car as it was a 3 lane highway. Luckily, the tow driver had a tire iron that fit my trailer and I was able to remove the damage wheel. The axle then dropped to the ground when I took it off. I used a ratcheting tie strap to jack the axle off the ground and was actually able to drive the thing home at about 45mph. The crappy thing is that I just bought this trailer new to make the move up to WA with my wife's car, it's literally 6 weeks old... Anyway, the girls insurance is actually taking ownership of the whole thing, truck goes in this Friday, hoping they just buy me a new trailer. Anyway, just thought I'd share my crappy day.
