Personalized License Plates?

Anybody here have personalized license plates? I was told by DMV that it would take 6 - 8 weeks to get them after placing the order. I placed an order almost immediately after buying my new car. If you have personalized plates, did you get yours 6 - 8 weeks after ordering?

I got the standard license plates today (about five weeks after purchase). I should get the notice for the new plates between next week and two weeks after that.

Well, mine just got stolen last weekend, so I think I'm sticking to boring old plates from now on...

Hook your car battery up to the frame of your car. No one will mess with it then.

I'm thinking just don't run a plate frame (since it covers a slight part of the registration sticker) use regular phillips head screws and fill it with super glue or hot glue so you can't get a screw driver in there.
