Permanent Calendar

Is it time to overhaul the calendar? Here's the plan - Technology & science - Science - LiveScience - msnbc.com

If we still aren't on the Metric System I really don't see how we could possibly go about switching to get on this "Permanent Calendar". Granted this would be one heck of a way to throw off all the ancient predictions about "Ze End of the World".

I never cared much about my birthday.

The theory is nice, but comprehending the whole world transitioning to this sounds like one extremely daunting task. I'm not saying it's impossible, but damn they have a lot of working to do (besides the calendar).
