I'm on San Thomas during commute and I'm in the right most carpool lane (got kids). Light is green for me, and I'm at speed of the lane following the car ahead of me a reasonable distance. We're going through the green and some (*****) of a BMW X3/5 is accelerating to "merge" into my lane.

I let up on the gas enough to provide a car "slot" for him since he's accelerating up to speed. All he had to do was keep up the accel/speed that he had already doing and he'd be in. But no... he's a dumbfock and suddenly chumps out and brakes. This causes me to quickly over take him so see that he FAILed I get back on the gas to close the gap; to get out of his way.

I look back in my rear mirror and I see BMW ***** has now practically stopped traffic as he blocks the next car behind me as he "merges". I think, "what a lamer".

Several lights further down, I turn right off San Thomas and BMW ***** catches up as I slow to turn... and he HONKS me as he passes.

Seriously... why don't people have any merging skills around around here?
And the dude wasn't an immigrant so you can't blame "new driver".

 

dude, he was in a BMW, you're supposed to stop, get out of your car, stop the other traffic for him, and roll out a god damned red carpet

 

Yeah, tell me about it. I always get people who have to speed up and cut right infront of me when theres no cars for about 50 ft behind me

 

^ on top of that, they drive slow once in front of you. Quite annoying.

my girlfriend laughs at me because I'll be the only car on the road, and I'll see someone at an intersection slowly creeping through and I'm like "dont ****ing do it!!!" and they usually do it. It's almost as bad as the people that HAVE to be in front of the pack.

I was behind a lexus coupe going 10-15 below the speedlimit on a road with one lane for each direction. We get up to the red light where it splits to two lanes and he takes the right so I take the left (he has his windows down with opera music blasting Anyways, the light turns green so I give it some gas, not expecting him to put up a fight. Long story short we got up to 10 OVER the speed limit before he finally gave up and let me ahead of him. He then dropped back down to his regular 10-15 below

 

I used to take San Tomas a lot, but now I take Bascom instead. But I still take it whenever my wife drops me off, like yesterday. I would say 1/5 time when I am on carpool like some jackass would pull that crap on me.

I do that too on the road or in the parking lot where some stupid people would back out of their space without looking.

They have a 50 cal. mod? I want! I live in sonoma county and we have some of the worst on and off ramps that could have ever been designed. If you know the area at all just think of the space you get from 12 west onto 101 north before you get pushed into the down town santa rosa exit. If that isn't enough think about 101 north exiting onto 12 west and see if you can make it under those 300 feet. It is just horrible horrible horrible during traffic hours. Things will back up a couple foot ball fields back for hours.

I like people that get on Cetnral expressway, and feel they have to stop for 5 minutes at the yeild sign...thats when i pass them on the shoulder and wave.

people think cars are so SCARY OOOOO IM SCARED!!!! just mash the damned pedal and merge at 65mph for F***'s sake! whats the worst that could happen? youre in a cage of steel going the same speed as the people next to you.

but its CA highway "engineers" fault for expecting these idiots to merge within 100-1000 feet. Apparently we need 10,000 foot merging lanes, which isnt a bad idea at all.

1/2 the traffic we have is from bottlenecking caused by short merging areas.

Dont get me started on the Douchebag cars that will pass you at 100 mph on the freeway and cut in front of you before a cloverleaf exit, and im on their *** the whole way aroound...i pass them back on the cloverleaf when i can...its fun.

 

This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine too.

Usually it's some bunghole in a monster "Himalaya 4x4" luxury *SUV* with V8 6MPG 400 HP (needed to move the behemoth anywhere). They roar down the highway and then slow to 12 mph to prevent themselves from tipping over.

 

bmw drivers are horrible drivers.....they think they are th king of the roads....everytime i see someone speeding down the highway with hid's, it turns out to be a bmw....blahh
