My buddy doesn't use his paypal much, but he went to check it today while talking to me because he was thinking of getting something off ebay. Only to find out his account has been frauded and being used. He didn't give anyone his pw or use other comps,, thinking maybe paypal has an exploit on their end. I guess if bofa gets raped as bad as they do, paypal isn't out of the question. Just scary since its for internet business.

 

Highly doubt PayPal was breached. My guess is your friend gave someone his password like he used the same password on another site that isn't so particular about their database security or he followed a bogus link from an email or something.

 

Eh, I heard paypal was cracked half a year ago, so I deleted my account.

Never had a problem. My friend doesn't use his that often, and he definitely didn't give his pw out nor leave it logged in anywhere. Either some type of virus or paypal got shat on. Also I guess it's possible they got his Checking info and accessed it via paypal since they didn't have a card. They payed 10 euros for skype and paypal shut her down so good news.
