carlsen was suggested as a fair dealer
and i must say.. they definintly did not try to haggle...
"this is the price, theres nothing else i can do" If u know what u want, and u know what u wanna pay, carlsen definitly is a haggle free place...
they would only give me 16k for my 02 wagon with 23k miles~!!!
AND i would have to return it to stock at my own expense...
that is the main reason im going to the mitsu dealer tomorrow.
my friend got 16,500 for his sedan with almost 50k miles!!! wTF!?!?! andis now the happy owner of an evo 8...
its a sad freakin day when the manufacturer of your car doesnt value what they sold u... and a different manufacture values your car more..
big up to subaru on that call.
Im going to ask the mistu dealer for all of my aftermarket parts back... its very doubtful i'll get the rims back...
if they are willing to give me the same deal with stock rims, ill sell the rims (cash and your oem rims). If not, ill be selling everything else but the rims.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
like i said before MAKE ME AN OFFER on all parts...
they are steel grey sdr's /kuhmo ectas with less than 8k miles on the rims and tires..
tomorrow is the big day for me... going to the mitsu dealer after work to talk numbers...
payday is wed, so im either going to be driving an evo (most likely) or an sti (not likely) by wed night.
once again a big
to suby dealers for their insulting trade in prices..

so you think in a couple years that evo is gonna keep it's value?
Not likely. It's a sports car just like the subaru...even more so...
Market dropped....$16k isn't unreasonable...it's not the best...but damn...it's stupid to trade in cars anyways. Take a month and sell that thing.
most dealerships I have gone through will charge you to take all the parts off and give them back to you....shoot most don't even want modified cars. They are harder to sell and they have no clue what's been done to them. You're lucky they offered anything.
Sorry to be a punk but I am just really getting tired of people expecting everything for free and smashing on dealerships when they don't.

Personally, I like to save myself the stress of selling cars privately.
I'm willing to take the loss, for the convenience of only having to detail the vehicle once.
Plus I used to be a car salesman, so I understand the situation from both sides.
AFAIC, if you want to trade-in, and you're open to more than one single vehicle, why not go with who will give you more?

i wanted both cars... one for the sheer power and one for the unbeatable handling.
ill be more than happy with either... and vishnu can add the power im looking for.
i have had enough hassle from trying to sell my car, im kinda sick of letting strangers drive my ride, only to find out they decided to get a freaking celica...
i went the route of trying to sell my car, and im just tired of waiting and dealing with 18 year old punks.
---OneManArmy ---i disagree with you... 16k for a car with less than 25k and only turbo back mods and a swaybar, that in my book is not reasonable. thats freaking lame. Especially when they mark up the car and sell it for 20-22k...They at least could swallow the 3-400 it would cost them to replace the aftermarket stuff with my oem stuff (i kept almost everything). The sales guy didnt even see my freakin car when he gave me that trade in price, he said "wrx wagon, all i can give u is 16k" which means i would probably get less because of the door ding and aftermarket rims.
Everybody thinks just because u modifyied the car, you abuse and race it.... nethier of which is true in my case.
I havent gotten either car yet, i havent even talked face to face with the mitsu dealer... we shall see what they are willing to do for me tongiht.
in the end it comes down to which dealer is going to work hardest for me, since both cars are capable of making me ****-in-my-pants
either way, i should be getting my aftermarket stuff back, either by my own hand, or the mitsu dealer, and selling it for almost half off to other suby owners.
___________BTW_____________
i also have a Greddy EVO Exhaust(catback and midpipe) that im gonna be selling... the exhaust hanger on the midpipe cracked off and needs to be welded though (from what ive been told this is a $10 welding job)...if someone wants it as is, cool, if not, im gonna get it welded, and then sell it (plus the cost of the welding)
again if u want it, make me an offer.
