OTD Price on STi in the Bay Area

Hello Bay Area!

How much did you get your 05 WRX STi "out the door"?

My friend is buying one this month, I told him how much mine was, but we would like to compare the OTD pricing from people aside from me. We would like to get an idea of real life OTD prices so we can try to deal it at that. If you could be specific on APR %, that'd be helpful.

Thank you!

Hi,

Mine was 35,??? OTD. I don't remember the last three digts. Let me dig around
and see if I can find it. I posted it to some thread but I can't locate it yet.

I put 8K down and borrowed the rest at 3.9% interest. Payments are $418 per month.

My loan was through the dealer.

^^^

Thanks! You got a better deal than I did, well I guess APR% was a factor on my monthly bill. Anyway, that sounds like a good deal to me, I hope it is to my friend. He's putting down 7k, and he has a decent credit, so hopefully we can get a better APR %.

He's aiming for a white/gold combination! I'm excited for him!

I hope you bought it from a good dealership. Where'd you get your's BTW? Carlsen and Santa Cruz seem to be popular dealerships for people to get their WRX's and STi's.

I have a WRX and I bought an 03 in Arizona. At the time I had just graduated college and Subaru implemented a college finance program. They gave me 3.49% for a first time car buyer.

If your friend is a student, ask about this program. It might not be valid for an STi.

Yea, we kinda asked about that when we checked out Carlsen Subaru, but they said they don't have any sort of incentives for the STi. But they did mentioned they have a 1.9% APR going around right now, and may stop by the end of the month. Eh... that's what dealers always say anyway!

Thanks!

Well the Subaru website shows 1.9% for up to 36 months for well qualified buyers. So if our friend is a recently graduated student how good is his/her credit? Monthly payment is a function of finance rate and down payment more than OTD price. You could also try various online buying services. They usually provide a price quote. Just add ~10% for tax. license etc.

Maybe not everyone that owns an STi is on this board or perhaps the owners don't want you to know.

I got mine in Oakland at the Subaru dealer there.
They told me about the 1.9 also, but I need the longer term loan to lower the payments.
Longer loan usually means higher interest rate.
It's worth it to do the math on each interest rate and see what
the monthly bills are going to be. Don't be fooled by a low monthly, make sure you know
how long the loan is and how much you will pay in the end.

Oh man... thanks so much for all your help!! My friend is very excited to buy the STi, now we do have a better idea.

I'm having the hardest time asking for help at NASIOC since I was a member there as well and I would like to get as much # figures as possible! I posted there first. It's the simplest question, but the hardest thing to answer accordingly for them. I don't understand why...

I'm glad you got your answer here. BTW, those members on nasioc that you felt gave you a hard time are the same people giving you help here.

There is a pretty strong dislike for Nasioc around these parts, its kind of funny because it all started out as i-club, and when the split took place all the bay area peeps came straight over here, but at times it seems as if most of the rest of the world still hangs out over there.

I just don't waste my time there unless it pertains to a tech item or national/east coast thing that I can't get info on here, but that's getting less and less common.

Ya i hardly ever go over there. But they did send me a Happy Birthday Bushido PM back in Nov. That was nice of them. It's more than anyone around here did.

as far as an STi. i don't own one. but many people have got them for around 32.500
