OK so that might be pushing it a bit, for more normal loads- even a rack of lights and pumpin' stereo they do the trick pretty well.
winch-fest......
think 10-15 minutes of winching a poor SOB out of a steep mud pit. we had 2 other vehicles that tried to winch this gigantic ford F-350...
2 jeeps were pulling at the same time and they were being dragged towards him.
another toyota and i took their place and did some careful placing of logs. it took a while. couldnt even touch the winch body afterwards...

Probably melted the lead off the mats inside it.
Did that just kill it dead?
no, it took bad maintenance on my part of running it down and deep cycling it a couple months afterwards that killed it...
but i assumed the winchfest started the death.
then i learned that it doesnt have as much warranty as a red topper...

careful, though, getting warrantied for it.
i got my replacement red topper from pep boys for $130. and when it was dying (i think it has a bad cell), they replaced with no questions asked...

the yellows are are like 2 years.
red are 3 years.
my yellow one died like 2.5 years...
that's why i was surprised to learn about the 1 year less warranty as the red one.
btw, why the yellow? do you know the characteristics of the yellow? vs the red and the blue?

i went with yellow top because it's what they recomended. i run 1000watts amp on my 2 10' solos in my trunk so it helped alot on my system. plus it's suppose to be a little bit better than redtops' which doesnt have a deep cycle capabilities.
you can find out more info in optimabatteries.com
plus i got it for the price of redtop q= )

i'm back to a red top these days in the truck.
unless you are listening to your radio without the engine running, deep cycle property is something you may not need...
btw, you didnt keep the old battery did ya?
i need an old one to return to i can get a deposit on a batt i bought (way diff application though)...
