Optima

I know it's been discussed. I have been part of some of them. And I did the search.

But anyone know where I can get an optima red top locally for a decent price. I'd like to pick one up tomorrow.

figure the red top ot to be enough for my car and a lot easier to deal with than the yellow.

I heard costco doesn't ahve the right ones...and I don't have a costco card anymore so I'd need someone to take me with them tomorrow sometime.

+1. Mine was $99. A redtop should be enough for a bus. a yellotop is a deep cycle and is for a different application (full discharge/charge).

Dunno, didn't know there were too many different versions. I will compare my redtop in my Celica to the battery in my RS (from an '05 STi) and see if the dimensions are similar. Of course, as soon as I see my car again... Been at a body shop since Saturday.

well...for the wrx the plugs have to be reversed or something like that. If they've got them at costco and someone will be around tomorrow I'd love to swing by and pick one up.

Costco has the 75/35 redtop. I got that one and mounted it on its side. Optimas are sealed so you can mount them in any orientation. You will need battery posts as well...about $5 from any auto parts store.

Haha yeah. Make sure you get the correct red top or else you'll be switching out your cables for longer ones. Or so i've heard....
