My wife just got a new dell laptop (vostro 2510), and when she tried to install the fonts, it wouldn't even let her view any open type fonts, let alone install them. After some google searches, she discovered that it is an issue with her Dell's XP OS and her 8400m gs graphic card by Nvidia.

Though she was able to install her fonts in safe mode, she was still unable to view the fonts. Then she came across a reg edit fix where she created a new entry and set the value to decimal 20. Now she can view and install the .otf, however, when she opened her indesign cs4, none of the .otf fonts appear, nor do they show up in MS Office.

Has anyone come up with a fix for this? She's already downloaded the latest drivers, spent three hours on the phone with unsympathetic dell techs, and she doesn't want to send back her laptop.

well the first mistake here was getting a dell........lol

and sorry i dont know how to fix this problem
