Open Ecu/XPT Tuning?

Hey, does anyone here know how to reflash a car? If so, do you have Laptop/Tactrix Cable/Connectors? I am just looking if someone can help me to XPT Stage 2 as I already have the full TBE installed and the map with me. Please post or PM me if you can help.
Thanks in Advance!
John

XPT maps suck *****. If you really want to use opensouce I would get a protune with one. If you wanna do an online one where you take the logs and send them to a tuner my tuner does that hes really good.

Well, before doing the protune, I would like to reflash my ecu with an OTS XPT Stage 2 map. Plus If I would want to send my logs, I'd send it to the actual owner of XPT as he does this aswell. I need someone to reflash my ecu, not someone to protune my map.

Then just borrow a tactrix cable from someone on the boards, thats what I did instead of spending like 70 bucks

I'm just saying the XPT off the shelf maps are not good, from the experiences of several people I know

I understand NorcalDC5. I will probably get it tuned after I get it by sending my logs to the owner so he can tweak em a bit. I actually AM trying to borrow a cable/connectors from someone as I could use my brothers laptop and download open ecu, but I think it would be much less hassle if someone could actually meet up with me and do it in a couple of minutes, I was told it takes 5-10 minutes. So anyone that can help, please message me as I just threw a CEL last night and want to clear that with this map.

If no one offers by March 6th I MIGHT be able to bring the one I am borrowing from a friend out here in Texas. But I am not positive I will be able to do this because he will probably want it back by then.

I've got that setup. Don't have any plans to be down in SJ anytime soon, but you're welcome to use it if you're up around Oakland.

If you're thinking of getting a "real time" protune at any point check with your tuner first if he'll work with a car with your choice of software. I failed to check that with GST and showed up for an appointment not knowing they only tune maps to load with specific equipment (i.e. Accessport)

Oh, and read up on it and all that: http://www.romraider.com/Documentation/GettingStarted

Thanks a lot Glider for the offer, You are my best bet unless someone closer is willing to help. I understand how most tuning stores in bay area only tune AP, but that is still not going to make me pay $600+ for the AP. I can send my logs to the owner of XPT Tuning or other tuners over the internet.
